Sometimes visitors to this site gravitate to the comments and quickly leave…

We have to remember that a lot of Taxi drivers are frustrated with their lot and find that this site is a good place to vent their spleen. As in real life, face to face situations we may find that we cannot be judgemental; we cannot always take things at face value. Sometimes we have to look past any ugliness or things we may find distasteful and see the reality. Many people and organisations today preach tolerance and understanding. I would ask any visitor who is not a Taxi driver to bear this in mind when reading this site. We may not be eloquent and sometimes we may be downright rude and arrogant toward each other and the powers that be, but there is a message here if you are patient and tolerant.

We don’t just rant for rantings sake; we do it because nobody listens. So please exercise your tolerance and understanding and see through to the underlying plea from all legitimate, hard working members of the Taxi/Private Hire trade who would like to see a better working environment for all. No matter how crudely put there are problems which need to be focused on and dealt with. So don’t make this a flying visit and judge it nonsense before actually reading some of the posts.

Sometimes I read long drawn out legal documents, which almost put me to sleep but I read them nevertheless and between the lines of boring legal speak I can find useful information. So it is with this site!

I am a Berwick Bandit
And the Newcastle Hacks cant Stand It!

I work the town
And cause I got a green plate you think I am a clown.
But at the end of the day
me and me mates are here to stay,
Couldn’t care if that ruins your day.

We provide a service,
And it obviously makes ya nervous,
Because we are cheap,
and your prices are too steep,
You whinge like little Bo Peep.

Alls I can say is we’re all the same,
Trying to make a quid in a hard game.
So lets stop all the name and blame,
and work together to die down all the flames.

Couldn’t care if your a newc hack or not,
We’ve both got the same lot,
If you were in bother I would stop.
Don’t care if you would or not!

——————————————

How about we all try and just get on, at the end of the day we’re all just trying to make a living. Sunday’s gonna be a hard day for all of us in the town if Newcastle go down and I’d like to think we’ll stick together, even if it’s just for one day.
We can go back to hating each other on Monday.

@TheBBMC,

if your a berwick hack working from an office why would sunday be a problem for you? firstly your jobs should all be pre booked and secondly whats to say that you get that many jobs in town!

you say it as if your already planning something else!

@Andy Warhol,
Oh Andy
Why Cant You See
Your just being a numpty
With your BS conspiracy theory.

On a normal Weekend Night I’d do
easy 8 to 12 BOOKED jobs from the
town. And just cause a Toon fan books a PH means they’re no bother?

Don’t think Newc Hacks really
understand just how much booked work
comes out of town. There’s an idea, the Newc Hack Association could ring the major offices and ask?

Some well researched statistics might make it a bit more evident that every PH is not a flimp.

@TheBBMC,

firstly,

a cat going through a tree shredder sounds more like poetry than your little attempt. dont give up the day job!

secondly,

I know people who work from ph offices, just last friday a friend gave me a lift and he showed me how many cars were on where they were and how many jobs were available, none! and plenty of cars.

folls like you will kid your self that you are making money, and so therefore keep lining the pockets of the office owners, reality check, we are ALL struggling!

difference being, when a hack struggles he has no other choice to sit it out on the rank, when ph struggle, they can go ‘flimp’

next weekend i’ll ring a few offices at ‘peak’ times eh? and we’ll see how busy they are by how long it would take for them to get me a car eh? is that enough ‘research’ for you!

BERWICK DRIVERS it’s not about getting on with each over. I get along with most people whether they be small, tall, black or white & even Berwick drivers. What it’s about is being fair & honest .With you its sheer greed. You know as well as every one else that the over heads are a lot more due to costs of vehicles and licensing costs. You’re asking me to get a long with some one that steals from every Hack driver in Newcastle. Got news for you Berwick driver. WE are struggling to but we don’t go and sit out side the offices stealing from you.
