if NTC did a proper study into the ranks to see which got used, they would take most of them away, the rank outside KFC in wallsend would be better of as a parking space, yet people do try to hail me if am there, but why dont the hacks go there? because they dont want small jobs!

i used to drive a blt in my ntc hack and always parked on the wallsend ranks when plotted in wallsend think i only ever got 3-4 jobs in 3 years and one them only got far as anson bus stops from anson rank when he seen £2.40 start on the meter (it was a sunday)and he was only going to high farm a small job which i did want to do !!

@lost the plot, I work North Shields metro it’s all small jobs,i’ll do small jobs all day long,you make more money on the small jobs..The reason Hacks don’t work Wallsend is because Blueline have it sown up.Pointless workin a rank in wallsend as the punters are used to BLT rates,I could sit there all day and have done,and get maybe 3 or 4 jobs.

I am shocked to read that Direct has or had a Newcastle Private Hire Vehicle operating in North Tyneside last week (if this allegation is true), but as Ian Shanks employed Cherie Blair QC to defend Blueline in 2001, (a case Blueline loss, if I recall correctly to defend them against North Tyneside Council) this vehicle I suspect will or would not have been working at Direct for to long because of that High Court Decision.
I wish to point out that I am not having a go at Blueline or Ian Shanks in relation to this matter, its just Ian Shanks may be willing to state what the Court Decision was, as it was reported in the Evening Chronicle at the time, that only North Tyneside Private Hire Vehicles could operate booking taken at Blueline`s North Tyneside Base in Wallsend.
I stand to be corrected, but Direct only has a base in Forest Hall with a North Tyneside Operator Licence.

@thelighthousekeeper, The Newcastle Private Hire working from a North Tyneside office was a genuine mistake,easily made when you have cars from all over working everywhere,it is no longer working in North Tyneside.
