why is walker taxis saying they have new cars 56 plate and upwards what about there X reg for galaxy or the 04 plate skoda at least get ya facts right before blabbing on here that you have decent cars most of them are falling to pieces
because i know they have pratt as i drive 1
but there not all 56 plate upwards are they i was just stating the point and if you are driving one then i bet your getting your ass warmed on payments for it there never oot the garage
Has anyone heard about private hire drivers being attacked in gosforth area on friday night?????
I want to be a BlueLine Desky ! I heard they gettin a 7 Grand Christmas Bonus. OK I know they drivers are havin to pay a ten spot each to pay it but that’s some shithot bonus..
The desk clerks dont get all the bonus some of it pays for the managements annual trip to spain !!!!!!!!!!
None of you get it yet.
Driving a cab, private or otherwise is a dying trade. The authorities have no intention of setting limits on driver or car numbers and all we do is make a noise or two and hope things will get better. The winners are the company owners, they don’t care as long as their wallets are filled, there is no loyalty there.
This may be news to you, but things are not going to improve unless we all wake up and act as one. No one will listen otherwise, so don’t think ignoring the problem will make it go away.
I am trying as hard as I can on my own, I’ve approached my MP, MSP, local councillors and the transport minister, but without support from any of my colleagues they will not listen, far less act on any thing I may say.
I know most of you don’t want to rock the boat, but if nothing is done soon to put some sort of limit on licences, there will be no boat to rock.
All the best to you all.
% think the “new northumberland council are takin the wee wee all our costs are up now we need a CRB every year and they charge us £54
after reciving a flyer through my door for well known private hire company , Fare Pay, great idea i thought, if its free ? so i made an effort to inquire.it seems & i stand to be corrected that there is a fee attached to this, it dose not say any thing on flyer though. so how fair is the fare pay, may be a fee for a text a fee for the use of a card .will make the use of using a hackney carrige just as fair…
According to there NEWS LETTER it costs the punter £1.00 to use the service, can’t see that on the flyer though… They are also saying they are the only ones taking secure credit card payments, I’m sure NODA have been doing that for years, but oh yes i forgot He lives in his own little bubble and what he says is gospel. One more point to add It’s this weekend, the 18th i think that NT Council have given all there offices til to get rid of there out of town hacks. Lets see how long it takes for his NT license to be revoked… Just like his Newcastle license. “Do you know who’s taking you home tonight.. yeah one of the 900 cars working from an unlicensed office!!!”
I have read with interest about this Fare Pay System and the Charges?
Now call me whatever names you like as everyone does, but I have to say as a Businessman Ian Shanks is very clever, as the MITH continues that Blueline are cheaper than a Street Rank Taxi, but are they really, because when you examine all the factors I am going to enlighten you to, you decide?
Blueline attracts all these so called Self-Employed Drivers, many of which firstly Rent a vehicle off Blueline, then pay Insurance for the Vehicle to Blueline, then pay £110 a week Finders Fee for work to Blueline, Ian (Blueline) then tells every Driver who pays them £110 you must do as I say & not as you want to, Ian (Blueline) sets the Rate of Charge to the Passenger & the Driver cannot charge his own Rate of Charge, Ian (Blueline) then tell the Drivers they cannot have a rise because of the current Economic Climate, but then introduces a Fare Pay System that Rewards Blueline more Revenue as a Charge for the Service not the Driver, oh yes and does Blueline not now Charge all Drivers who do Credit Work that must go into some sort of Blueline Bank Account a Commission to access the Drivers own Revenue that is already done at a discount rate reducing the total amount the Driver actually receives for doing the work in the first place?
Now in the terms and conditions at the HMRC, just how are Drivers who Control none of the Elements of Self-Employment, Self-Employed at Blueline?
The only person getting a Rise here & just about every time a Rise is wanted by a Driver is Ian Shanks or Blueline the Company, if you want to be technical about it, but here is the thing?
when you add all these extra hidden charges to the Passenger, who uses Blueline, is it not cheaper for a Customer to simply get into a Hackney Carriage TAXI Vehicle, not a Pre-Booked in Advance Blueline Private Hire Vehicle, because with all these hidden charges Tarriff 1 between 0700 until 2200 hours does not seem all that bad to me, and the small enhanced Tariff 2 from 2200 hours to 0700 hours for an Immediate Vehicle on time every time with a Friendly Driver, who charges the same clear to see Flat Rate of Charge to the Passenger in every North Tyneside Taxi for the first 2 passengers, then 40p a passenger above 2 passengers, meaning £1.60p start on Tariff 1 or £2.40 start on Tariff 2, if there are only 2 Passengers travelling?
BECAUSE WHEN ALL THE HIDDEN CHARGES TO A PASSENGERS MOBILE PHONE BILL ARE ADDED TO THE PASSENGERS FARE FOR TEXT BACK AND FARE PAY THIS INCREASES THE CHEAP BLUELINE PRIVATE HIRE TO PROBABLY A RATE THAT IS GREATER THAN THE North Tyneside Hackney Carriage STREET RANK Taxi CHARGE!!!!!!
Just some food for thought before you use a Blueline Private Hire Vehicle, because every Passenger is a;
Blueline,
North Tyneside,
Section 55,
Operator Licence Passenger, at all times?
Why! because,
Section 56 (1) confirms the Liability cannot be Transferred to the Vehicle or Driver!!!
Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.
These are the facts Passengers need to remember!!!!
Does anyone know anything about a taxi driver being arrested for rape on Algernon Road yesterday? Heard it on the news at tea time but no one seems to know anything about it. Taxi drivers have bad names anyway without this going on, but i dont know the facts so i wont jump to any conclusions.
@ Transport Manager I like the way you talk about Blue Line being a Private Hire operation, most of his cars are out of town hacks, which are now illegal in North Tyneside as well as Newcastle, so as you pointed out about section 55/56 wont matter much soon, simply beacuse his NT License WILL be revoked! And yes as you say the only ones making any real cash at Blueline are the owners, i think his little credit card scam that you talked about is a great idea.. for Blue Line. His latest money making scheme is if he catches one of his drivers without a uniform on they get disabled for 24 hours.. fair enough you might think… But he also fines the driver £100.. yes you read that correctly ONE HUNDRED POUNDS. How he keeps his drivers Ill never know.
beware all private hire drivers.. on sept 22nd i pull outside the anson and literally sprinted in to the public toilets as i was bursting only to return and find the councils little hitler with aparking ticket for £35.. ( 5hrs takings gone )..i pleaded for him to see reason but the b****ard just revelled in the fact that i was commiting the crime of the century.. i excersised my right to appeal to the council and recieved their decision this morning.. they said tough shit even though i went in for a piss.. seriously lads dont let the same happen to you.. ps one final message to north tyneside council parking control.. due to spending cuts i hope you all lose your jobs.. goodbye.
Parking controls Gaffer , Gary Hoyle , has stated that if drivers put a notice on the dashboard stating “back in 5 minutes” any appeal will be successful.
Bad news is that there is a meeting tomorrow about the impending privatisation of north tyneside parking control. Then things will be bad!
so u parked on a hack rank with your private hire car so thats 2 offences really ?? plying for hire ??
dont need to ply for hire mate.. still plenty of money in private hire.. thats why all you skint hacks have to come cap in hand to private hire offices… as alan partridge would say “back of the net”..
u were parked on the rank so u were plying 4 hire !!! plenty of money mmmm £35.. ( 5hrs takings gone ).. take ya rent and fuel off leaves u with £10 if u r lucky thats really good money must get me self along 4 a data asap
Last week I almost ran over some bus passengers due to arriva drivers dropping their passengers off at the taxi rank in North Shields. I contacted arriva to complain about this constant practice which is illegal and I was told that the matter would be dealt with urgently as it was regarded as a serious matter. Today I received a reply from arriva stating that they have told their drivers to take more care when dropping passengers off at the taxi rank, Does someone have to be killed before this practice stops.
