Is it beyond some of you to get off your arse, flag down the suspect drivers, create the illegal hire and set the driver up, give evidence and become the witness the council needs to prosecute ?
If the council still do nothing its time to hang your hat up !!!

can i just say that the council have targeted 70 vehicles, and caught 12 for ‘flimping’
doesnt sound a lot, does it?
well this is 1/7 of the vehicles targeted, and if we apply that to say newcastle private hire, out of 1000 cars that would be roughly 140 cars that possibly flimp, then gateshead private hire and hacks, nt, beriwck, and the rest …
… i know, some are more guilty than others, but you have to admit boys and girls of the hackney trade, a figure of 1/7 is very worrying!
