A taxi driver was hit in the face with a brick and another had his eyebrow “bitten off” in a vicious attack in Telford. Taxi bosses are warning some parts could become “no-go areas”.
The drivers, both in their 20s, were attacked at about 2am today in the Madeley area.
Mohammed Zaman, chairman of Telford Private Hire Drivers Association, said both had been treated for their injuries and discharged from hospital.
He added that a group of four or five people were believed to be behind the attack, which left one driver in a “pool of blood”.
